Wellness on a Budget

clean living

Often when I speak of a clean, healthier lifestyle, people assume it is expensive. Yes it can be, but there are plenty of ways to make healthier choices without breaking the bank. Below are some tips to start moving in that direction at little or no cost.

  • Make your own coffee, tea or matcha. Even just a plain coffee from Starbucks is going to run you about $2.50 a day. And let’s be honest, most of us aren’t ordering plain coffee. Make it yourself and add some cinnamon, honey, and collagen powder. It saves you money and is likely cleaner.

  • Quit buying drinks. Water is free and drinking more of it is one of the best things you can do for your body and skin. Invest in a filter and not only are you saving, you are also helping the environment.

  • Free or inexpensive fitness. It costs nothing to get outside and walk, run or go on a hike. And we could all use some more nature and sunshine in our days. YouTube has several workout videos you can follow along with that are free. Or look at a lower cost subscription like Melissa Wood Health ($9.99 a month).

  • Discount groceries. I love WholeFoods, but they are typically not the cheapest place to shop. When it comes to produce Trader Joe’s reigns supreme for me, but there are plenty of other places depending on where you live. Aldi’s, Sam’s Club, or Costco to name a few. You can also checkout online options like Thrive Market or Misfits Markets.

  • Save on clean skincare. Places like Target and Walgreens carry great skincare lines like Honest and CoCokind. You don’t have to break the bank and using a cleaner product is safer for you.

Living a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to be expensive. I hope some of these tips inspire you to take action and incorporate more wellness into your routine.

XO,

Nicole
