Favorite Snacks

Who doesn’t love a good snack? One of the most common things that my clients struggle with is what to eat for a snack. And when you are hungry and aren’t prepared with a healthy snack option, that is when you will grab whatever is convenient whether it is healthy or not. Here are some of my fave snacks to keep on hand at home and in my bag or car.

Veggies with hummus or Kite Hill dip.

Fresh fruit.

New Primal SnackMates Jerky – they come in several flavors.

Plantain Chips – I love Trader Joe’s, but there are several brands out there.

Lesser Evil Himalayan Salt Popcorn – much healthier than microwave popcorn.

Nuts – pistachios, cashews, walnuts.

Simple Mills Crackers – gluten free and clean. They have all different flavors.

Siete Chips – Love this brand! The lime chips are my fave to dip in pico or salsa.

Hard boiled eggs – easy to make in bulk and have for the week.

Protein bar – Some of my faves are Go Macro, Epic, Rx Bar.

Most of these can be found on Amazon or in your local grocery store. The thing to keep in mind about snacks is that they are SNACKS not meals. So don’t over do it. Use them in between meals to help keep hunger at bay and blood sugar balanced. Look for clean, non GMO brands when you are picking out snacks.
